創世記 44章 32節

　実は、この僕が父にこの子の安全を保障して、『もしも、この子をあなたのもとに連れて帰らないようなことがあれば、わたしが父に対して生涯その罪を負い続けます』と言ったのです。
　For your servant became a pledge of safety for the boy to my father, saying, ‘If I do not bring him back to you, then I shall bear the blame before my father all my life.’

　43章9節では、「生涯」が「forever」だった。
　「わたしがあなたに対して生涯その罪を負い続けます」
　「let me bear the blame forever」

　あの子のことはわたしが保障します。その責任をわたしに負わせてください。もしも、あの子をお父さんのもとに連れ帰らず、無事な姿をお目にかけられないようなことにでもなれば、わたしがあなたに対して生涯その罪を負い続けます。（新共同訳）

　I will be a pledge of his safety. From my hand you shall require him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever.（ESV）
